Universal Account Number (UAN) Member portal is an online service which is offered by the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) which allows employees to manage their Employee Provident Fund (EPF) accounts easily. The portal enables users to avail themselves of different services associated with their EPF accounts in a single location making it easier to handle their retirement savings.
What is the UAN?
The UAN is a 12-digit special code issued to all employees who make their contributions to the EPF program. This is a permanent identification number, which is not changed regardless of the employee changing jobs. The UAN is a centralized system, which is used to monitor and maintain the EPF accounts, and binds all the PF accounts together. Update KYC Details: The UAN portal also allows the employees to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) information including connecting Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account details, without which claims and transfers cannot be processed.

Accessing the UAN Member Portal.
In order to use the UAN Member Portal, the employees should go to the official EPFO site and enter their UAN and password in the UAN Member Portal. In case you do not have a UAN, you can get it with your employer or EPFO.
